I bake my family's cakes from scratch. I feel it is more meaningful! This works great! It got the icing very smooth. I was able to hold it with ease, it didn't feel bulky or heavy. It is lightweight. I dip mine in hot water which makes the icing very smooth and no bubbles! I would recommend for sure! The price is great too!

Love it!

With some practice, I think this will really result in smooth icing. For a first try it was an improvement from using a butter knife. My daughter would like to learn to decorate cakes and starting with a smooth base is important. If you are already skilled, this tool would definitely give you perfectly smooth icing. It is quality made with a comfortable grip. We used regular cake icing to try it out, but Wilton icing would probably smooth even easier. The more we worked with it the more air bubbles we put into our icing, so with more practice it would take less work for a smoother result I'm sure.

Great for your aspiring cake maker

I had ordered this in hopes it would arrive before I made the cake for my sons birthday but it arrived the day after. So I decided to test this on brownies, since we just had cake. I really like how easy it is to spread the icing. And it was very easy to clean. I can't wait until the next cake I make. This is going to make my life so much easier and my hands less messy! Definitely recommended.

Why did I wait so long to get this?

This icing smoother is very nice! It is very flexible and is easy to grip to help create the smoothest edges. It is very easy to clean. You just wash with your hands with warm water and soap before and after use. Then, hand dry it immediately. It is not sharp, so you don't have to worry about cutting your self. I highly recommend this if you want to create a perfectly smooth looking cake!

Soooo nice

Nice quality tool. I like the rubber grip. The metal smoothing blade is heavy duty. The grip is thinner on one side and thicker on the other side. It is very comfortable in your hand but can easily get messy. I think an offset spatula is actually easier to handle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for one cake comb and ended up with SIX!  These are super easy to use and clean.  Big bonus is they are tall enough for a triple-tier.  When I first bought them there were two of the same style in the package, but Michaels did a quick exchange for me without a problem.  So it may be a good idea to check to make sure you got all three combs.

Icing smoother

I'm not a pro at baking and icing cakes. I just wanted to try myself at it for my kid's birthday. I like the quality of this product, it's pretty sturdy. I just iced a small cake and it was easy with this tool. I wish it didn't have round edges for a cleaner look at the bottom, but I just added frosting flowers all the way around.

I didn't buy this in the store due to it being $3 cheaper online. I put in for next day pick up seeing myself they had three on the shelf. First my order was delayed saying it had to be shipped due to no product, even though it is highly unlikely between the hours of 8pm-11am three people ran in and bought a cake icing smoother but whatever. So it arrived today with the package torn and the product had been clearly used. There was actually food on the side. This is the second time in the past couple months I've had this issue with Walmart. Come on and step up your game! I think people pay enough for your products that you can do better than this service!
